If you want to get away from the daily hustle and bustle of Surat city and relax in the lap of nature, feel the gentle touch of nature, then Mahal Campsite is the best place.

This eco-campsite is managed by the North-Dang Forest Division at Mahal village on the border of Purna Wildlife Sanctuary in Dang district, 120 km from Surat.

Temka village can be reached from Surat via Mahal, Vyara bypass and Saraiya bypass. Proceeding from Temka, the road passes through the green forest. In some places a river flows parallel to the road, in some places milky springs and waterfalls fall from a high hill, on the other side there is a deep valley.

As soon as you reach Mahal village, you will find the board of Mahal Eco Campsite, then you will reach the campsite from there. There is a bridge over Purna River just 300 meters outside the camp entrance gate. Wherever you go and stand, you will see a beautiful view.

Inside the campsite there are various types of bamboo accommodation. Where we can stay. The booking of which has to be done online beforehand. Various activities like hanging ladder, commando net, zip line can be done inside the camp.

Karanjwa track is inside the campsite. For which you will get a guide inside and it is mandatory to guide so that you don't get lost in this dense forest. The guide will take us to that track and bring us back. Various teak, bamboo, bamboo trees can be seen going on that track. One will hear the chirping of various birds. Colorful butterflies will be seen.

The sound of running water was heard on that track and a beautiful waterfall was seen. There we descended the stairs and went under the waterfall and bathed in the water of the waterfall. There on the rock we sat for hours and enjoyed the touch of nature. After sitting for an hour we returned to the campsite.

Around 2-3 km from Mahal Campsite are Mahal Falls, Raspathar Falls, Purna River Bank.
