My trip experience :

I visited Mount Abu for very first time in Dec-2020 with my friends after unlock 5.0 in India. I like to travel most but due to lockdown due to Covid-19 I couldn't go for trip.

Day - 1
So we visited Mount Abu on Christmas. As it was immediate plan, we have not booked online any hotel for stay. We reached there around 11:00 a.m and we couldn't get any reasonable hotel to stay. So we went near Delwara Temple and stay at Temple Niwas (Kothi).  If you want to stay at this dharamshala, you can contact Vikram bhai - 8824581923 .  He is very genuine guy. He helped us a lot in this trip.

We refreshed and went for a lunch. After that we waited to hire activa or bike, for that day all 2 wheelers were booked. I called vikram bhai. He promised to arrange activa for next day as we were very late to book for same day. We want to complete some points, but we can't get any vehicle and 4 wheeler price was 4x. As we had many days to stay in Abu, we decided to do points (which are far away) for next day. So we decided to touch points which are near.

Places to visit in Mount Abu

1. Delwara Temple

The Dilwara Temples or Delvada Temples are a group of svetambara Jain temples located about 2.5 kilometres from the Mount Abu settlement, Rajasthan's only hill station. The earliest were built by Vimal Shah and supposedly designed or at least financed by Vastupala, Jain minister of Dholka.

The five Dilwara Temples are among the most famous Jain temples. The Vimal Vasahi is much the earliest, constructed by 1031, with the Luna Vasahi by 1230, and the others at intervals between 1459 and 1582. All are in a very white marble that adds greatly to their effect, and remain in use.

Every one should visit this temple. Many of us don't like stone carvings. But after visiting this temple, you will love stone carving. As photography not allowed, I have not taken any photos. I put some photos from some websites.

There is no any entry fees.

After that, we tried to find rickshaw but no any auto-ricashaw found for that day. We waited to 1 hour for rickshaw but we didn't find. So finally we all decided to walk. Out next point is Sunset Point. It is also known as Lover Point. So we started to move to Sunset Point... We took many(too many 😜) photos and selfies on the way and reached sunset point in 3 hours.

We return from it around 6.00 p.m and reached to lake around 7.00 p.m. It was very much cool atmosphere even at 7.00 p.m. We decided to not to go for boating same day. So we came to Sarovar Restaurant near Lake Boating Ticket Counter.  The lake view from sarovar restaurant  was awesome. Rate of food was also good and rate was also reasonable. There was also kids game zone.

Next Day morning, we depart for gurushikhar around 7.30 a.m after breakfast. (It is recomonded to reach at top of guru shikhar around 7.00 a.m to see sunrise. ) It was 13 km far away from our stay. We captured some photos of beautiful scenery.

Mount Abu

To Reach top, we had to go via own vehicle. I had drive my activa full paced, still it reached 30 km/h speed due to slope. But that journey was amazing. There were many points come in between way to click beautiful view. We also captured.

We reached at top. We parked our vehicle.

It is named Guru-Shikhar or 'the peak of the guru' after Dattatreya, an incarnation of Vishnu, and a cave at the summit contains a temple dedicated to him, plus one dedicated his mother, Anasuya, wife of sage Atri nearby. This is highest peak of Mount Abu at 1,722 m.

Peace Park in Mount Abu

The Peace Park is a desert spring of common excellence around eight kilo meters from the Brahma Kumaris base camp in Mount Abu. Part of the appeal of the spot is that it is affectionately administered to devoted Brahma Kumars and Kumaris who get a kick out of inviting a huge number of voyagers consistently. Due to Covid -19, we couldn't visit this place.

8.  Achalgarh Fort

We reached achalgarh in 1 hour. There were newly made jain temple, old Nandi temples. We started trekking for achalgarh fort. There was very big jain temple on top of achalgarh fort. It took around 1 hour. We can see gurushikhar from this fort. And also whole achargarh village can be seen.

We have captured too many photos.

There was also Bhojnalaya (for lunch), but we choosed to eat at mount abu. So we returned and eat Dal-Bati. It was amazing. After freshing 1 hour at our stay, we again depart for new point... Toad Rock

9. Toad Rock

Toad Rock, located close to Nakki Lake, is a wonderful place to visit in Mount Abu. All of Mount Abu’s natural beauty is perfectly reflected in the scenery that bursts upon you at Toad Rock. This is a quirkily formed high stone that sits on the shores of the lake, looking as if it is ever ready to take a dive into its dappling waters.

Climbing upon the Toad Rock presents a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding greenery. Photographers will love this location, such as its photogenic quality. Though it is a simple location, Toad Rock is deservedly one of the best tourist places in Mount Abu. This place is one of the best Mount Abu tourist places.

Toad Rock

We have to trek to reach Toad Rock from Nakki Lake. We sat over there and clicked some beautiful photos. From here, we can see whole large nakki lake. We can also consider this point as Sunset Point, if we come here at evening.

We returned to Nakki lake for boating at 5.30 p.m .

10. Nakki Lake

Nakki lake is very large lake. We can enjoy boating for half an hour or one hour. Half an hour boating is enough. There are different types of boa avaialble.

iI is the largest manmade lake at the height of 11, 00 meters in India then on the other hand it is romantically called the love lake of Mount Abu; at the same time it is the sacred lake for the proud Garacia tribe.

The lake is approximately half a mile long and a quarter mile broad.

We enjoy boating about half an hour and then we returned to our stay. We reached our stay around 7.00 p.m.

I recommended  to visit mount abut in winter (Oct-Feb). In January stating, there may be chance of snow or temperature may be in minus. Some points may be closed for a week or two week due to this.
